Foundation Information

Through the generosity of our donors, St. Michael’s Foundation awards hundreds of grants annually, to support healthcare in our hospital and community. We choose to align our funding priorities and fundraising efforts with the programs and services offered in our hospitals and clinics, as well as those healthcare needs of our community. Driven by our commitment to aiding the most vulnerable and underserved, St. Michael’s Foundation pays special attention to making an impact in the following areas:

Impactful Granting

St. Michael’s Foundation supports programs and services to enhance the quality of healthcare services for the patients and families served by Ascension St. Michael’s Hospital. We champion:

  • Funding that advances treatment and technologies 

  • Funding that offers exceptional patient or family experience
  • Funding that addresses community impact in line with our mission

 

Grants

St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation accepts grant applications twice per year to support programs and services that enhance the quality of healthcare services for the patients and families served by Ascension St. Michael’s Hospital and Ascension Medical Group. Capital grants for departments are also considered during these grant cycles. 

Each grant application will be reviewed by the St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation Allocations Committee and ratified by the St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.


Deadlines for Submission

  • Download form template, enter your data, and submit to Margo.Willard@ascension.org

  • Applications are due the 1st of October and April 

  • Applications will not be accepted after this deadline

  • Applicants may be invited to present their applications at the Allocations Committee meeting; applicants will be notified and invited to present by the 15th of October and April
