Cancer Treatment and Detection

3D Mammogram in Mercy's Breast Center

With the addition of 3D mammography, Mercy technologists are able to provide uninterrupted breast cancer screenings with greater patient comfort.

The high quality images and improved technologies continue to help diagnose cancers earlier.
3D mammography at Mercy is made possible with a donor's estate gift and will greatly assist the Breast Center. With this technology, we have the capability of detecting breast cancer earlier. With early detection, patients' can receive interventions that will likely result in a better long-term diagnosis. Because of donors like you, patients can take ease in knowing that early diagnosis and intervention is possible.

Cancer Patients' Added Comfort

New recliners were recently upgraded in the Micheal D. Wachtel Cancer Center at Ascension Mercy Hospital, enhancing our patients’ experience and comfort thanks to donors like you.

Nancy, Ney, a patient at Mercy, shared that the recliners make a positive impact when receiving treatment.

Nancy recently commented when receiving treatment: “The chairs are wonderful! Morgan, an associate in the Cancer Center said they love them and so do the patients! So happy! Thank you for helping make this all possible. I was escorted into a private room, and I’m reclining in one right now with a low level of heat. So comfortable that I think I could fall asleep!”
