More Information

According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is responsible for more deaths in women than all types of cancer combined, including breast, ovarian, uterine and lung cancer.

Our goal is to ensure advanced diagnostics and treatment therapies are available to help all women in our communities achieve and maintain cardiovascular health, regardless of ability to pay. These efforts can ultimately lead to a lower death rate from heart disease in women.

There are significant differences in basic cardiovascular health and disease between men and women, including heart rhythm, heart failure, coronary disease and valvular disease.  Working together with specialists from several disciplines, the Women’s Heart Clinic at Ascension Providence Hospital takes into account the unique ways heart disease presents and manifests itself in women of all ages.
