44th Annual Via Christi Charity Classic
Golf Tournament

Since the inception of the Charity Classic, adults and children alike have benefited from more than $5 million raised in support of Ascension Via Christi's programs and services. These beneficiaries continue to help patients in need, provide the latest healthcare technology and improve quality of life for those in our community.

This tournament is in memory Marian Girrens
, the founder of the first Charity Classic in 1981. During her many years of fund raising efforts, she raised millions of dollars for countless ministries and programs of the hospital.

  • 2025 Charity Classic Beneficiary Pediatric Therapy Clinic at St. Francis

Pediatric Therapy focuses on improving a child’s quality of life. From infants to teenagers, we understand that children learn best when the experience is fun.

The Pediatric Therapy process starts with a comprehensive evaluation to identify areas of concern including orthopedic, rehabilitative and developmental conditions. Our uniquely qualified therapists provide services to children during hospitalization or as outpatients. They collaborate with parents to establish individualized priorities and goals and carefully monitor progress throughout the treatment process.

Our space is located on the second floor within the outpatient therapy center at Via Christi St. Francis. It has been the home for Pediatric Therapy for over fifty years and is in critical need to be remodeled. The architectural plans call for major updates to both function (storage, workspace and equipment) and form (colorful and age-appropriate creative space for fun).

    • Larger areas for group therapy

    • Better integrate family into sessions

    • Improved space for sensory motor-processing activities

    • Upgraded equipment to mimic functional play in a safe environment

    • Introduction to community-based activity through a rock wall installation
