Pediatrics
Pediatric Echocardiography Machine
This allows doctors to best examine, diagnose and treat pediatric patients. Currently, doctors must borrow a machine from the hospital one day a week and are unable to offer it to patients any other day in the office. This is an immediate need to serve pediatric cardiology patients and expectant mothers who need further screening/monitoring.
ECG Machine
An electrocardiogram (ECG) records the electrical signal from the heart to check for different heart conditions. Electrodes are placed on the chest to record the heart's electrical signals, which cause the heart to beat. The signals are shown as waves on an attached computer monitor or printer, allowing our Pediatricians and specialists to monitor the patient in real-time. This is borrowed from the hospital one day a week and is not available for physicians to use with patients any other day in the office. This is a basic need for the Pediatric office and for the pediatric cardiology program in Rochester.
Pediatric GI Equipment
Our Pediatric GI specialty physicians are looking for support to obtain equipment for two novel procedures, which would be new services that our system does not currently offer:
-
Equipment for rectal biopsies for the diagnosis of Hirshsprung disease
-
EndoCapsule - a new swallowable endoscope allowing for upper GI scopes without invasive procedures
