New equipment improves patient and staff safety!
Your donations helped purchase two new Molift patient lifts! The easy-to-use mobile lifts assist caregivers when lifting and transferring patients with impaired mobility.
With your gift to the Employee Unlimited Potential Fund, you helped ensure that patients and staff are safe and comfortable when doing a patient transfer at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital.
The Molift was recently used to assist a patient who was in cardiac arrest. The nursing team found the patient unresponsive in a lounge chair. They moved him to the floor and performed CPR to save his life. After saving the patient, the nursing staff placed him in the Molift and transferred him from the floor back to his bed. The transfer was made without causing harm to the patient or to the nursing staff.
Other non-nursing departments like Physical Therapy, Radiology and Transport have also benefited from using the Molift patient lifts.
