Water safety in Tawas City!
Our Tawas community has received a grant that will help keep our loved ones safe on the water! The Sea Tow Foundation, through its Life Jacket Loaner Program, is providing 24 life jackets and a stand-building kit that will be placed at Gateway Park’s boating ramp.
St. Joseph Hospital is coordinating with the Tawas City Fire Department and Dive Team to set up the stand with the 24 life jackets in time for Memorial Day weekend. Now, boaters can safely enjoy the open waters of Lake Huron this summer!
