Breast cancer survivors honored!
More than 55 breast cancer survivors were honored at the Saginaw Spirit’s Annual Pink Out hockey game. The hockey team raised nearly $5,000 that was donated to the Breast Care Fund at St. Mary’s Hospital.
The donation will provide mammograms and follow-up ultrasounds for qualified uninsured and underinsured patients at St. Mary’s. These services help screen for breast cancer in patients who can not afford to pay for these proactive tests. To date, generous community members have donated more than $85,000 through the Pink Out event.
