The Ascension Genesys Foundation offers a number of scholarship opportunities for students and associates to begin or continue their education in healthcare fields. The funds for these scholarships have been generously donated by benefactors of Ascension Genesys Foundation.

Leonard A. McKinnon Memorial Scholarship
The Leonard A. McKinnon Memorial Scholarship Fund was established through a generous donation by Zelpha E. McKinnon in memory of her husband. The donation was given to provide Ascension Genesys Hospital Employees with financial assistance to further their education within the field of health care. Scholarships will be awarded annually in the months of August and December.
Cathy Allen-Thomas Memorial Scholarship
The Cathy Allen-Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 through several generous donations by family and friends in memory of Cathy. The donations were given to provide Ascension Genesys Hospital Employees with financial assistance to further their education in the field of Health Information Technology/Health Information Management. One scholarship will be awarded winter semester of each year.
