Therapy Dog Program
Therapy dogs visit and comfort patients, visitors and associates. Gifts received are used to purchase food, toys, medication, veterinary care and any other program-related costs. Funds are also used to obtain young highly trained therapy dogs when it is time for current therapy dogs to retire.
All therapy dog handlers are specially trained volunteers who bring the dogs to the patient's bedside, therapy areas, common waiting areas and other patient service areas.
